Windhover | 2013-2014

Windhover is NC State's literary and arts magazine.

I was Design Editor for the 48th edition.

With the design team, we decided on an earth+sky theme; the cover offers a serene blue (sky) while the interior consists of natural toned pages and earth tones throughout. All of the text is colored but the magazine still maintains a calm and balanced feel.

5 divider pages liven up the magazine with playful patterning of our custom design.

We included a poster insert so readers would have a tangible keepsake from each copy.

This edition would not be possible without all the student submissions and help from those who put this magazine into production.

First Year Experience | 2012 -2013

The FYE in design at NC State focuses on general design principles and design thinking as opposed to having students dive directly into their major. These projects cover a broader range of materials and prompts, and the message is told abstractly.
